7 Important Tyre Specifications For Replacement
OVERALL DIAMETER
The diameter of an inflated tyre at the outermost surface of the tread.
The OVERALL DIAMETER matters the height of your vehicle. It can not be higher than the limitation of the vehicle.
SECTION WIDTH
The linear distance between the outsides of the sidewalls of an inflated tyre excluding elevations due to labelling (markings), decorations, or protective bands or ribs.
The tyre width could be wider while the tyre height keeps the same. It would makes your driving more comfortable.
RIM WIDTH
The linear distance between the flanges of the rim.
Rim width is designed according to the tyre width. One tyre width could have multiple rim width. Ask your tyre manufacturer, if you are not sure about which rim width you should choose.
RIM DIAMETER
It is a size code figure for reference purposes only, as indicated in the tyre and rim size designation.
Rim Diameter could be adjustable, while the OVERALL DIAMETER is fixed.
SECTION HEIGHT
Half the difference between the overall diameter and the nominal rim diameter.
The less section height, the more stable driving experience you will have.
SPEED SYMBOL
The Speed Symbol indicates the maximum speed at which the tyre can carry a load corresponding to its Load Index (except for speeds above 210 km/h) under service conditions specified by the tyre manufacturer.
Please drive your baby under the limitation of the SPEED SYMBOL. Otherwise, it might cause danger
LOAD INDEX
The Load Index is a numerical code associated with the maximum load a tyre can carry (except for loads at speeds above 210 km/h) at the speed indicated by its Speed Symbol under service conditions specified by the tyre manufacturer.
Normally, the same load index as your original tyre would be good.
Never choose a lower load index than your original tyre!!
It could cause a blow out of your tyre, and put your life in danger.
